BBB AUTO LINE & Class Action Complaints

BBB National Programs helps you settle your vehicle warranty or class action dispute without the need for an attorney. This dispute resolution program is free of charge to the vehicle owners of participating manufacturers.

We offer both mediation and arbitration services to resolve automotive warranty, lemon law, class action, and other manufacturer disputes for participating manufacturers.

Privacy Complaints

The Global Privacy Division handles complaints alleging that a participating business has failed to comply with one or more of the Program Requirements in relation to the personal data of an individual processed within the scope of the participating business’ privacy certification.

Digital Advertising Accountability Program

The Digital Advertising Accountability Program is a data privacy program that enforces self-regulatory industry standards for online and mobile advertising. DAAP was developed at the request of the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), an alliance of the major advertising trade associations, as the independent third-party accountability agent for the DAA suite of Self-Regulatory Principles.

Consumers can submit a complaint regarding a violation of the DAA Principles for DAAP review.

Children’s Advertising Complaints

The Children's Advertising Review Unit (CARU) handles complaints and challenges involving violations of CARU's Advertising Guidelines or CARU's Privacy Guidelines in national advertising directed to children under age 13, as well as internet and mobile advertising and online privacy concerns for children of the same age group.

BBB National Programs is an independent, nonprofit organization that is home to dozens of industry self-regulation programs that date back more than 50 years.


BBB National Programs is not affiliated with the International Association of Better Business Bureaus (IABBB). The two organizations share a history, but are independent organizations.
